Installation and Troubleshooting Instructions
Slide/Swivel to Air Adjust Pedestal installation
Trouble Shooting Pedestal Operation
Problems that may occur:
- 1. When the air ride handle is pulled up (activated), nothing happens?
The most common cause of this problem is when the slide is not seated on the post so that the adjustment leveler does not touch the adjustment screw.
To fix this problem see Slide/Swivel to Air Adjust Pedestal installation.
- 2. The pedestal rises without the air ride handle being activated or it is stuck in the up position.
The problem is the adjustment screw is too high so that it is activated even when the adjustment handle is not engaged.
3. The pedestal sinks to the lowest point when weight is applied without the air ride handle being activated or it is stuck in the down position. The problem is the adjustment screw is too low so that it cannot be activated when the adjustment handle is engaged.
The Fix for Problem #2 and #3 is to Raise, or Lower the Adjustment Screw
If you have Problem #2, the adjustment screw is too high, adjust the screw down by turning clockwise ¼ turn. Apply pressure to the top of the unit to see if it will go down without activating the handle, and adjust the screw another ¼ turn clockwise. Continue this process until the unit lowers/raises when the height adjustment handle is raised, and will hold weight without the handle being activated.
If you have Problem #3, the adjustment screw is too low, adjust the screw-up by turning the screw counter-clockwise ¼ turn. If the unit will still not raise or lower while the handle is activated, turn the screw another ¼ turn counter-clockwise. Continue this process until the unit raises/lowers when the height adjustment handle is raised and will hold weight without the handle being activated.
Replace the slide/swivel onto the post by holding the swivel lock handle so that the pin is retracted. Turn the tension knob clockwise until tight and then counter-clockwise ½ turn. See Slide/Swivel to Air Adjust Pedestal installation.
